Meet Our Physicians
Melanie Kuechle, M.D.
Dr. Kuechle is a native of Texas and a graduate of Baylor University College of Medicine. She completed her dermatology residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and was a post-doctoral fellow and on faculty in both the Dermatology Division of Medicine and in Pathology at the University of Washington for twelve years. She has a special interest in immunobullous disorders and inflammatory dermatoses. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology. Her outside interests include the performing arts, participating in equestrian sports and spending time with her husband and three children.
Janet M. Trowbridge, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Trowbridge is a native of upstate New York and a graduate of the New York University Schools of Medicine and Graduate Biomedical Sciences. She completed her dermatology residency and post-doctoral fellowship at the University of California at San Diego. She has a special interest in pediatric dermatology, skin cancer and innate immunity. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology. Her outside interests include outdoor sports, reading and spending time with her husband and three children.
Dr. Jill McKenzie
Dr. Jill McKenzie graduated from Washington State University with her Bachelor of Science degree, Magnum Cum Laude. She attended the University of Washington School of Medicine, completed a dermatology residency at the University of Washington and was chosen to be chief resident. Dr. McKenzie continued training in Mohs micrographic surgery, reconstructive surgery and cosmetic surgery also at the University of Washington. Dr. McKenzie is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery.
Dr. Craig Birkby
Dr. Craig Birkby has been a leader in the treatment of skin cancer in the Seattle area for over 20 years. He attended medical school at the University of Iowa and completed post graduate training in medicine, surgery and dermatology in Denver, Iowa City and Boston. Following his residency, Dr. Birkby pursued his interest in skin cancer surgery, and completed a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology at the University of Iowa. Dr Birkby is Board Certified by the American Board of Dermatology and has performed over 15,000 Mohs surgeries and as many reconstructions and repairs following skin cancer surgery.
